Kemar “Blaqrose Supreme” Joseph has amassed years of experience being in the field for a decade. Born February 2nd 1990, he grew up with many musical influences such as soca, reggae, dancehall and hip hop. Blaqrose’s focus has always been to hone his deejay skills whilst establishing his signature vibrant Caribbean mixed with main stream street style.
Currently hosting the weekday 6-9pm shift as an Announcer/DJ on Barbados’ Slam 101.1Fm, Blaqrose has become a household name in Barbados and across the Caribbean known for blazing the latest in soca, reggae, dancehall, hip hop, mainstream and more in the show called “Club 101”. Outside of the music studio, he has been the featured deejay at numerous music festivals including The Food & Rum Festival along with major events within the Crop Over season and as well as playing for the major Crop Over bands such as Zulu International, The Aura Experience & more. Apart from private parties, festivals and carnival events he has also done corporate events with KIA Motors and other major entities.
His talents have taken him as far as the US where in 2016 he debuted to the International arena at various Miami Carnival events and Boss Club Toronto in 2017 while on tour. He continues to showcase his voiceover talent as he has hosted a few of many events for 2018 including the Miss Barbados Universe, Erup The Band and the Aura Experience Crop Over band launch. Stamping his versatility to his fans, he also shared and graced the stage with the Red Bull 3Style 2016 World Champion Deejay Puffy as his ‘Micman’ at the Reggae Beach Party event which falls under one of Barbados’ greatest festivals the Barbados Reggae Festival.
With his sights set on expansion into the international music arena, Blaqrose Supreme drops his own soca special edits & mixes which are always well-received by his loyal fans.
